Today I wanted to bring attention to some common Home Inspections Roofing Problems. Pay attention to the plumbing vent pipes that penetrate the roofs of every home. The rubber and plastic boots that are used on many homes these days can only last a few years before the Texas sun damages them causing cracking. This allows rainwater to drip down the pipe into the attic damaging ceilings inside the home. This is not an expensive repair but very necessary. This was the homeowners repair from inside  the attic with spray foam.  Probably effective for a little while but definitely an eye sore and not a long term repair. A qualified and insured roofing contractor should be contacted to provide the correct repair.
